My new ride!!

I am so excited this will be my new ride. A 2014 Fat Boy!!! My helmet looks sick with this bike.

I love riding I still can’t believe I waited so long to experience this opportunity but, I am doing it now and that is all that matters.

As one can see there are a few bikes in our garage.

My ride!

All clean after yesterdays long ride. Why did I wait so long to try this? Years ago I wanted to ride but after being dumped a few times as a rider I just wasn’t willing to take the chance, I thought dumping a bike and being uncomfortable was the way it would be. But I learned from my husband it can be safe, comfortable and FUN!!!!!!

The plan is to ride this for a month and then its on to a Harley!!! Already picked her out, I can’t wait to be on my own Harley.

Going to rock this!

Walking has always been something I enjoy. I am taking it to an all time push and doing a 1/2 marathon. We have been training for 6 weeks and are up to record times of 15.22 minute miles going up to 6 miles at a time. This coming week will take it to 8 miles and then next week we will go for 10.

My journey would not be as much fun or as humbling without the person that started this adventure. I met this Special Olympic Athlete last year and since then our journey has come to this event (his idea too) he wants to finish! Not too sure he knows how far he has to walk yet but he is determined to do it and I am so impressed by his tenacity to finish so I’m even more determined to finish with him. Would I have done this on my own? I don’t think so.

We have 13 weeks of training to add to our 6 weeks. This ain’t easy folks but we WILL do this.

Stayed tuned more to follow!

A life well lived

I am a novice at this but find WordPress intriguing at the very least.

The picture below is my beloved Fonzie. He is a Missouri Foxtrotter and the first young horse I have ever owned. I bought him as a weanling, and kept him a stallion for 11 years. He is and always has been a horse with a soft heart and old soul. He is now 25 and still looks amazing still has my heart.

He sired 5 fillies! Yes, not a single boy in the bunch but none the less they were soft and beautiful just like him. Owning him has given my insight into a horses mind.

Thanks for joining me!
